Meet local author Bobbie Peyton as she shares her new book Dancing the Tinikling at TreeHouse Books, Saturday August 26th, 2023.
About Bobbie:
Bobbie Peyton is a writer who lives with her two little (but ferocious) dogs in Ashland Oregon. She was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States as a baby. She is a former special education high school teacher, who believes that every student is special. She earned a MA from Tufts University and a MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University.
When Bobbie isn’t writing books for young readers, she spends time playing piano and participating in the number one sport in America: birding.
Her debut picture book, Dancing the Tinikling, illustrated by Diobelle Cerna, publishes on August 15, 2023 from Sleeping Bear Press.
