Wintering in Ashlandia
Wintertime is a season of reflection, dreaming and musing.
When it's frosty outside, I love to be warm and cozy inside with a hot cup of my favorite brew (peppermint tea with french vanilla creamer!), my journal, and a pile of good books and oracle decks by my side. This is also the season when I love to create new Wizard Apothecary Kits for our Wizard Cabinet of Magical Supplies. Our new Magical Herbs Kits are in stock now.
On the other wing, I love a brisk walk in nature through Ashland's Lithia Park, or trekking up the hill with Duke Dirk on the street where we live. We can view the whole valley from above the city and I especially love the snow capped mountain, Grizzly Peak.
This winter I am reading Scattered Showers by Rainbow Rowell, a YA collection of short stories, The Stars Did Wander Darkling by Colin Meloy, and Heroes of Havensong: Dragonboy by Megan Reyes.
My pick for a fun new picture book for the season is Cozy in Love, by Jan Brett.
